Subject: Okay, I give up. Please help me figure out this dimmer switch.

1972 2002. Has blinker stalk on left (yes it does!!), dimmer on right. Dimmer stalk burnt out yesterday and was removed. Following number on the dimmer stalk housing:

1 352 957 8357/61

Recangular 3x2 junction with round pins, top center pin is a blank, so it's a five-pin connector. I do not know if it did anything other than dim the headlamps. I just got the car and it died after a couple of days.

A forum member suggested I have the older blinkers and that someone switched sides. Wouldn't that mean the blinker switch would be upside-down? It is not!

Another thinks I have a late-switch conversion. I admit I am only starting to look, but so far that part number doesn't match what I've found.

Any suggestions?
