Reminds me of the TRD Toyota Starlet my friend bought to run SCCA back in the 1980s.

The guy was HUGE fan of Dale Earnhardt and made no bones about it. He called me up and asked if I'd do a bit of hand-lettering on it. (I was a "sign-painter" among other things.)

The tiny, flared, lowered and bespoilered car got the full-on "Intimidator" paint job...all black and silver with a big-assed number ("5" not "3") on the doors in the same typeface as Mr. E's NASCAR ride.

Looked pretty mean when it was all done...for a Toyota Starlet, that is...

When people asked me how it looked, I always said it looked like
Dale Earnhardt's "pit cart."
