This car was a california car when new then moved to the mid-west partly through its life. I *think* I'm the 4th owner.
I've been steadily working on making improvements and I thought I'd document them here.
I bought it in February of 2006 in Chatanooga. We are in Atlanta now.

winter 2006 pulled the head. I knew sometihng was wrong, the side-draught modification helped, but not a hell of a lot.
the results were impressive. the #2 cylinder valve was not seating anymore, so there was no compression in #2. the rest of the valves were pretty crappy too.

Hey mate, In Oz you can get them from Redline. See link:

http://www.redlineauto.com.au/redline_manifolds_to_suit.htm

Last time i checked it would set you back $245

Tom

Subject: paint done

I could probably have sprayed another few coats, but I just got tired of having the car parked. it looks ok from 10 - 15 feet away. not a show car, never will be, but at least its got color now.
ones day I'll get it done right, this was really just to correct the trunk, and it got carried away a bit...
BTW, the manifolds are CANNON, i bought them used from a local guy.

Subject: what's in a name?

so I was asking my daughter about naming the car..i asked her what animal were gray. i was expecting a mouse, or something else. I never expect her to name the car so quickly:

Gregory the Gray Goat.

so, my car might be called "The Goat"

what do you think?

Jon
