There is supposedly one here in stockton this weekend, how the heck are you supposed to find out about these things?

which club is hosting the event? Yes, the snell sticker is required by most clubs. It is not the one on the outside of the shell, but the one under the padding. The reason it is required is that after a crash the sticker will be removed until the helmet passes the inspection by the manufacturer.

check http://www.sfrscca.org/solo2/cgi-bin/schedaction.cgi?autox&where=all&Next_three_months

for one of the more complete event schedules in SF/Sacramento/Central California area.

thanks mr steve!
yes! my helmet still has the stickers, thankfully my dumbass didnt find that sticker and take it off before hand.
do they divide you into classes? my cars suspension is almost full race but i dont want to be put with guys who have a lot more skill than me. I know how to drive fast but have no track time or autoX time either.
If so can i just get away with putting my car to stock height since there is no bodyroll anyways? lol
Or is it just your own time?

oh and steve, here is what info i got:

cool, Sac chapter SCCA. The classes are based on your modification and not skill :) But i f you are new to this then you can run in a Novice Class. I don;t know how Sac chapter does that class or if they even have it. If you list your modification i will be able to place you in the right class.

Oh, just looked at sac chapter page and they don't have novice class. SFR does.

thanks for the other site too!
yeah i have adjustable bigger sway bars, 520 pound springs in front and 380 in back with coilover conversion, revalved bilsteins, and strut braces.
I heard you can get away with cheating by painting your shocks and springs so they cant tell lol.
not that id ever think of doing something like that.....hahahaha

well, shocks are free even in stock class. do you have coilovers all the way around or just fronts?

yes, you can get away with cheating in almost all local events, but what does that get you?

hahaha just kidding...sort of.
Its kinda obvious cause if someone were to push down on my car....well you cant haha. Yeah i got coilovers all around.
Do people bring some bad cars there and drive them like beat up civics or accords? or is it mostly modified cars?
i think it would be obvious if you cheated because the car can go so fast around corners without body roll or the tires skidding. There is no nose dive under braking or rear squat under hard acceleration either.
I was looking at some other events like on the baybimmerz board, i guess there are BMWCCA autocross events as well?

the rear coilovers bump you up high. eh. I think this is prepared category. Or you can run OSP as a local SFR Region.

There are also BMW CA events, but GGC Chapter does them at Marina Airport. And that might be a little too far for you.
