Im interested in paying someone to fill the holes in my car. About 110 holes all together, im taking the no trim route. I know how to do body work, and know how to weld, but don't know if this is a job I want to attempt.
A wise man once told me the best tool can be your checkbook, and this is a job I might be willing to write a check for. It would take me forever doing a few holes at a time.

Ill be in san diego next saturday autoxing with PCA at qualcomm. I can swing by maybe for a quote.

Thanks in advance. shoot me an e mail.

Morgan

sure come on in, we are open from 9:00 to 1:00 on saturday but i usually stay until 2 or 3 so if you cant make it by 1 call me and see if i am at the shop. My shop is really close to the Q. 2 or 3 miles.

Take qualcom way which turns into texas st,go south, drive up the hill, at the top of the hill is madison ave, turn left at the madison light, drive two blocks turn left on hamilton, drive one block turn right on adams, and i am right across the street. Darbys paint and autobody, 2624 adams ave san diego 92116. (619)293-3088

Filling in the holes is the easy part there is a couple ways of doing it, welding closed or using marglass, welding is the correct way, but then you would have to recote the inside of the panels for corrosion. Also, are you refinishing the car. I would recommend waiting until you are ready to paint the whole car. If you only need the top chrome molding removed you could do the alpina look and only paint the top portion.

im interested in welding the holes. I thought about it and there will be quite a few less holes than mentioned before. I will be going with a fiberglass hood and truck lid. Hopefully if i can find them, front fenders as well. So basicly, just the holes in the doors, rear quarter panel and Ill leave the board open for ideas as to what I can do to the rear of the car where the bumeper used to be. I know that DAPauto makes a fiberglass rear bumper. mght be a good idea.
