Subject: Door Brakes

Modified door brake from a 320 no worky. What did I do wrong? Took brake from 320 and shortened the strap to match that of an 02. When installed the door will not close. Acts like the 320 spring is too strong??? All help/ideas appreciated

I just bought me a pair of new '02 door brakes for my project. They,re different from the old ones, and looks stronger too. I too got the problem that the door would'nt close, but then I had not tightened the screws and put in the bolt yet. After I had done that, and put on some grease, the door went just fine. Here's a pic of the new brakes.
