Subject: New Format

I personally find the new format too much trouble to use as often as I did before. Previously, I could set either forum as my homepage, scan it, view the entire thread with one click, and move on. Now, I have to work too hard to find anything. I find it too busy and too much unnecessary garbage on the screen. Maybe I'm getting too old to deal with this new format? I
Just my thoughts FWIW. No flames please. I'm just giving my honest opinion in hopes of improvement. RogerB

Roger,

that might just take a couple days getting used to where things are. Yes, they are not in the same place any more, but we did give people a couple different options on how to view the forum. Make sure to check out the Threaded vs. Flat view formats. You can still have the forum as your home page, plus there will be a few more cool things to come to the forum that should make viewing the forum a lot easier. Mike is working hard to address all of the concerns. I am not sure he knew what he was getting himself into.

Give us a couple weeks while we work out most of the bugs.

Thanks for the feedback... others have raised similar concerns. I would invite you to check out a comparison of the old board, the current board, and a proposal I put together on how to clean up some of the "clutter" from the threaded topic view. (Click Here)

I am working on a similar one for the threaded whole forum view, I'll post that shortly.

As someone who liked the old format, I'd be especially interested in your thoughts.

is that the same thing as "if i don't win, i'm taking my marbles & going home"

if you decide to leave, i might suggest http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?s=08399b389b6a5eda0270ad33cc7d922c&f=105

but that may not work for you either...it's another one of those convoluted, confusing, impossible to use, immensely difficult to navigate forums too
