So finally there is some xtra bucks coming my way and decided on buying a new engine. Based on years of multiple inputs the options are either calling E. Kerman (NY) and build me a nice stroker or getting a local shop build it (SF Bay area, the guys in Santa Clara Motor... something or the guy in Livermore so far they have a great reputation). What would you guys do? Go left coast or local. Willing to pay for a good job.

I had him build a ported head with Schrick 304 and matching intake manefolds. His prices were reasonable and he did a great job. I had him skip the polishing stage since it does little to nothing (and sometimes hurts) for performance. I also bought an M3 crank that was modified to fit a light weight 2002 front main pully, J&E pistons, and Crower rods from him.
Now I've go to get to putting it together.

Terry built the competition motor for my brother's 3.0cs, excellent work and customer service...he really worked hard to figure out what type of motor my brother needed and built it within budget. The CS is now finishing in the top ten consistently without a top ten dent in the wallet.
