The reserve light is the red hand brake light. I guess I'll have to look at the wire diagram and test the "reserve" circuit to see if she actually works.

| Sounds like there may be some water in your gas tank. Are you getting cheap gas? I have noticed ARCO stations in the Seattle area give you all the gas and some water too. |

| Also check your throttle shaft to see if they're loose, a bushing rebuild kit is the only repair. Another may be how tight, or loose, the venturies are sitting in their seats. |

Definitely remove the pump, actuating push rod and cover with a block off plate and gasket. Also this now becomes an excellent place to ground your alternator case to!
