I would love to buy it - here are my three problems:

1) Divorce ("as in - if you buy it, I will" says Mrs. Ken)

2) The car lives near Penn Yan, New York. I live in Houston. It would be hard to get it here, and I don't have storage up there.

3) Because of the aforementioned problems (and rust), I would only give the current owner about $1000 for the car. I think he wants more than that. So - I didn't offer him anything because I didn't want to insult him. My guess - he thinks he has a very collectible car because of the star at the top of the grill, and he wants top dollar for it.

I've looked at W108's on E-bay and NADA, and I can still get one with a sound body for about $4000 - so maybe someday I'll cash in on the dream.

What do you think about the W108 in general?
