1973 BMW 2002, 4 speed, sunroof, 187400 miles. Last of the cool round tail light models, these cars are a lot of fun.

This car was extensively restored in the late 80's. A factory(!) rebuilt engine was installed at 162000 miles in 1990, and a Weber carb was installed in 1991. Tii steering box. Still has the original scratchy BMW radio!

I bought this car in 1993 and used it pretty lightly until 2000 or so and then took it off the road, with the intention of re-restoring it. Just installed a new battery and it seems to run well. Everything works although it does need to be gone over. The car definitely needs some rust repaired (this is a BMW 2002 after all) but it is quite salvageable. This would be a great platform for a restoration or vintage race car project. Have repair records dating back to 1984, as well as photos of the restoration. Will throw in a Haynes manual, Mike Macartney's "BMW '02 Restoration Guide", and maybe another relevant book or two.

So sad to sell this car, it's been a lot of fun for me and I had planned on keeping it forever. Too many projects forces me to sell.
