work looks good, did you send Esty the same quality fabric?

The original email from Esty went something like this.....
" I am looking for a tan carpet for my 2002. I would like a sample of everything you offer in tan, around $200. Upon looking at your sample page, I think that I would like to see Fawn, and Saddle".
My reply went something like this.....
" I don't offer a lot of tan in the $200 range, and I don't suggest using the fawn. It is rather nasty, and not a set I would sell to anyone. If you would like to spend more, I can supply some more samples in tan".
After that, I cut a small swatch of saddle, grabbed a business card, and dropped them both in an envelope. I addressed the envelope, and then dropped it in a mailbox the following day, on my way home from work. It arrived in Shitwater Mississippi almost 2 weeks later.
As they say, the rest is history. Well, not entirely, I left out the part where I was going to GIVE, for FREE a front hood moulding to Esty, which she needed to finish her car.
What did I learn from this? If someone wants a sample, depsite how nasty it is, I should supply it. Or, the other lesson, I should stop selling $200 carpet sets, as they are barely worth my time, at least in this case.
