Our first race was in Kemora track week and half ago. It was quite long trip: drive to the track on thursday, tested whole friday, practices and qualification saturday, two races on sunday and travel back on monday. As a whole the result was good although there was some trouble included.

Friday: on first laps I noticed bad vibration on main straight about 250 meters before corner. I had to lift gas not to brake the car. We figured it's the main shaft and changed differential from 4,45:1 to 4,11:1 to slow it down. It helped but acceleration from couple of corners suffered. Then we tested some different spring setups but didn't achieve much.

Saturday morning I was the quickest on first practice. Then they put the scales up and we got the car weighed - 96kg underweight!! That's how much we bolted counterweight on the floor and on the rear subframe - good thing we had it with us. Still fastest on the 2nd practise and qualification on wet track! I spinned on the last lap and a fuel line was cut as the tank moved a little. There was some luck as the leak really got bad after I was back on pits.

1st race: Pole position caused some extra swetting on hands. Car left quite well from the line but I was not able to get 2nd gear on and fell about 8 positions. In the end I just caught the leading group of 3 cars that had a tough fight through the whole race so I was 4th only couple seconds behind the winner.

I had 2nd best laptime so I started 2nd at another race. Even though I really concentrated on the start and shifting I still could not find second gear! Another race was just like the first one. I lost time in the beginning and then more when passing the slower cars and could not reach the fastest ones ending up 5th.

I'm happy as the potential of the car got proofed, no damage, some setbacks but nothing serious. About the shifting problem I really don't on which end of the stick there's more reason.
