Subject: Sac to Tahoe drive Sunday 7-20-08

We have thrown together a drive to escort Steve "The Dude/Blunt" Up the Summit.

Meet at Brookfields at 7:00

11135 Folsom Blvd ( Rancho Cordova- Near Sunrise) Off Hwy 50

We will give out Route directions at the restaurant.

We have come up with a different route that we will take off Hwy 50.

Sly Park/ Morman Imagrint Trail NF5 / Silver Fork NF7

Pack Saddle Pass Rd 71/ comes out at Hwy 50

We will have lunch at the Strawberry Lodge.

Sounds like we have 6 cars.

Feel free to Join us- Will be a fun drive.

We were ( he was with me ) and we just missed it, still a big dirt cloud when we passed that spot.

Yup, saw nothing but dust cloud from back here.

That was a GREAT morning drive. If I didn't help Norm change out a set of wheels I may have been home to Vacaville before 2:30!

All you pansies missed out on a good one again!

Great, friends. Good food Great roads, Great '02s. Nothing like a drive with '02 friends to get the blood flowing, and the project motivation going!

What a Day ! Just got back to Chico. 11 hours of 02ing.

I drove with Steve and Avi through the West Shore of Lake Tahoe.

We stopped at Emerald Bay and also hung out in Tahoe city for a while.

I went back on 89 to Truckee, The spirit of the Alpine 500 grabbed me.

So I continued North on 89, went through Sierra ville, Grayeagle, Quincy.

Continued on Hwy 70 through the Feather River Canyon.

Great to see everyone. We need to do that more often.
