I'm trying to clean the egg off my face and type at the same time -

The erroneous pin out I posted was from a Mitchell manual schematic for a '76 2002. After looking at the diagnostic plug on my '76 I pulled the info.

Pins 4,6 & 6 are blank - not Pins 4, 5 & 9. The colors of the wires going into the plug on my car lead me to believe that the rest of Mitchell's diagnostic plug info is suspect.

Sorry for the bad information.

Which way does the numbering go on the plug, as viewed from the top?

Thanks,

Bob Napier

I'm interested too. This picture, from a previous FAQ thread showing the connector, almost looks like Pins 4, 5 & 6 are "nothing" (vs. 4, 5 & 9), making "which way is up?", and the location of #1 pin all the more perplexing...

I think I'm thinking like Bob, and want to rig my remote start switch through this connector...

TIA,
Tom

On my attached pic, the diagnostic thingamajig, is item 11. It is just above and left of the fuse box (on the diagram).

Awesome, Les. Thanks. That Electrical diagram is quite legible, and it shows exactly what's on each of the 9 pins (for Component #11, the 2002ner connector).

Hey OP, no problem -- the fact you tried to supply the pin-out led to the answer... Thanks.

Now I gotta swap pins for the alligator clips on my remote starter. Sweet!

Tom
