Subject: Another Guatemalan beauty...

A beltless 2002ti with some form of Alpina wheels. My wife commented that the owners were sitting in a restaurant watching her taking a photo of their car, and appeared to be a bit weirded out. Strange American. Again my wife is in Guatemala on sabbatical, and reporting back on occasion with 2002 related finds.

Hi Paul,
Hey, you wouldn't have happened to be in Germany
(Münchweiler or Pirmasens ) from 81 to 86 were you.

Just looking for a lost friend.
Thank you for your time.

I can't speak for the rest of Central America, but I spent a lot of time on Costa Rica in the early to mid nineties, and saw many 1502's, 2002'S, and 2000's on the streets.

I was in Costa Rica recently and saw three'02s. One yellow 72 2002tii, a light blue square light passing us by in Heredia and a round light Inka in the Airport Parking.

and have seen two--one on the road, the other in the same front yard in Rivas (S of Managua on the Pan American highway) for the past five years--agave US spec roundie. Have always wanted to stop but the other folks on the bus were against it...

Guess all the warfare in Nicaragua, 70s-late 80s got rid of all the older cars--it's a rare thing to see a car in Nicaragua older than the late 80s...

penth2o, no, I was in Houston from 1980 to 1985 (72 agave 2002), and living in Boston in 1986 (76 chamonix 2002). Good luck finding your friend. 'Paul Huber' appears to be a very common name.
