Hello guys .. how are you all ..
i know i have been ghosting around for long now .. but since i got something i want to share with you .. i made my first topic :D
ok .. lets say . i have the BMW 2002 factory manual in PDF format ... and lets say .. its in 27 separate files .. and lets say .. they differ from 3-33Mb each ..
files are :
1.INTRO -
2.Oversize wiring
3.Body Equipment
4.Radiator
5.Gear select
6.Fuel Tank lines
7.Front axle
8.Auto trans
9.Wiring diagram
10.Exhaust
11.Seats
12.Instruments
13.Foot pedals
14.Radio

and 9 pics out of the part manual .

well , first thing , all of them are 400Mb .. wich i am not going to upload in .rar format , for the reason that i have a really shitty internet connection, and it will take forever to upload that .. , beside i am not on my PC all day long .. , and getting this manual was real hard .. and for good will i want to share it with you all ..
is there any way to upload it on your server , so that everyone who needs it downloads it ? and in a way that i can upload files one by one ? (that will really help me out here .. )

haha .. that would be harder for me to get than the factory repair manual i got ... hehe
actually i am not into the ancient egyptian's history .. but i will look it up for you and see what i can get , if you want ;)

Steve, I don't know if they're the ones on the CD- the supposed issues in certain computers scared me away from it. For comparison, the pages in this PDF manual are scanned from a binder. _________________ ~Rob '73 2002 (runs!) '76 2002 (parts!)

oh man, that would be awesome! us know when the files are up! i can't afford a blue binder (they come up every so often on ebay) and i don't like the haynes manuals.

Awesome! I have the factory manual on disk but haven't been able to get it to work on my new computer. It's been a real hassle to hook up the old one when I want to use it. Thanks guys!

There's also a torrent I downloaded it from a little while ago in the same kind of PDF format. Thanks to whoever is scanning them it must take ages.

I'm no lawyer, but I have seen the actions taken by BMW NA regarding anything even REMOTELY resembling copyright/trademark infringement over the years. Let's just say - they have a much larger bank roll to supply their legal team than you do - so be careful. You might not lose...but you'll be bankrupt long before they are! I'd hate to see BMW NA breathing down the FAQ's neck!

My suggestion - use the factory BMW MAIN GROUP system ie:

11 - motor
12 engine electrical
13 fuel
16 fuel delivery
17 cooling system/radiator
18 exhaust
21 clutch
23 manual trans

etc..etc...

because it relates to the part numbering system as well - and will streamline your efforts / readability.

Here's the one that comes on the CD you can buy for $10 on eBay: http://www.spaghettiblender.com/2002/fsm.zip Some sections are better quality than others, and some are missing (for instance, the driveshaft section) but it got me through working on my car until I got hold of a real set of blue binders. Enjoy! :)

Yes DO be careful about copyright issues.

The pdfs/videos etc and other information on thetiiregistry DOES have the blessing (and backing) of BMW.

When I scanned/pdf'd and bookmarked about 1800 pages of the old parts microfiche I donated to his site to get it out to the community and to get some legal protection if someone tries to make money off a completely free download. I wanted it 100% free resource for all '02 owners

Also I have access to the latest Adobe Professional and I'll gladly organize and bookmark all your downloads into a SINGLE download if there is interest.

What year was the binder set that was scanned?

I thought about combining them, but the final file size would have been prohibitive for many folks. A 400 meg file residing in memory would be enough to make many machines go cross-eyed (especially with Vista...). _________________ ~Rob '73 2002 (runs!) '76 2002 (parts!)

Hi rtheriaque, Where are you uploading these to. I would love to have a copy of those sections. The CD bmw sells is worthless unless you want to dig out that old computer from the closet that you mean't to throw away. Then you can spend months trying to tweak it to make it work. Please let us know how to get ahold of these files. I will even take a single large file. Thank you..
