Subject: Treadmill safety! (long)

I go to the basement and get on the treadmill in the mornings, while I watch TV (Wimbledon lately). In the middle of my walk, I feel that the treadmill is rocking and rolling, my first thought was "earthquake", common in California, so I don't panic, I look to see if anything is shaking but it is only the treadmill that has become a possessed rollercoaster! I am trying to hang on for dear life and I finally managed to stop the beast. This doesn't make any sense, I thought. I start to investigate, I unplug the darned thing from the wall and lift the belt, and I find a 18 inch yoga ball under! My guess is that it was left nearby, pinched between the belt and the wall, it got swallowed under, got squeezed like a mamogram with me on top riding the wave! Funny now, but it could have been a real freak accident! Thought I share...
