Subject: OK, is this the order of directions for the chain tensioner?

After looking at the various write up on the chain tension adjuster, this is what I have assessed so far:

1) After installing the face plate with the tensioner lever in the "oil pool" area, coat the new hydraulic tensioner with new engine oil and slide into its final position.

2) Fill the "oil pool" with new oil, using a long screw driver to hold the hydraulic actuator in its place, move the tensioner rail back and for the actuator to prime with oil until it can not move anymore.

3) Place pointy end of new spring with the ball into entry where the ball end goes first, then using new seal (and a little teflon tape) close entry with the cap. From the Real OEM drawing that what it looks like to do.

Is there anything else I miss?

Thanks in advance!!

Ok, but forget the teflon tape. The seal is on the seal ring, not the threads. Better to put a bit of RTV on both faces of the seal ring before it gets wet with oil to prevent oil wicking.

Good instructions for bleeding the adjuster on the tii registry website www.thetiiregister.com.
