On reassembly, a light smear of gray RTV on the side case was advised by another helpful FAQer. Same for the top cover? I have the paper gasket for the top. And does it need to be gray RTV? - I've got blue already.

I actually have two boxes. The old one with the leaky upper seal, but good looking internals - and a "new" used one that doesn't leak but has a crappy looking, pitted worm. I'll either take the good internals from the leaky one and put them in the non-leaky case, or replace the seal in the leaky one, and try to rehab the other one for a spare.

Anybody got any helpful advise for me and the rest of the noncogniscenti?
