It seems Dave had one too many weizenbier and was not in any condition to operate a PC after his dinner last night.

Ein weizen, ein Warsteiner, ein glass Spatlese. But, yes after jagerschnitzle, spaetzle, mushrooms, gravy, salad with pickled radish, beets, cukes, and german potato salad (mit REAL Bacon..mmmm), a bite or two of salmon with dill sauce, red cabbage, and Black Forest cake.....All from scratch...I couldn't lift my arms, but to drive home. I'd forgotten what the good stuff was like.

My 86-year-old mom was trying to figure out how to liberate a large stein from the place...and she only had one Warsteiner.

The owner had left, so I asked the waitress about the significance of the phone number, if any (294.2002). She had no clue. "We've got a Bimmer phone number? Cool!" DOH! As we left, spotted a very large coffee table book of the history of BMW (name?..) in the waiting area. So maybe there's a link after all. We'll be back soon. 3.5-4 stars.

That's great. Our local German restaurant burnt down 1-2 years ago. It was in the stone basement of a 100 year old hotel and had quite the schloss catacomb feel to it.

our local german hang out, Ludwig's, recently closed down too. it was our weekly hang out for 4 years and hosted a couple 02 drive after parties!

it's been a tough summer without my sauerbraten, dopplebock, dunkelweiss and kolsch!

I enjoyed it after the Fall drive we did several years ago.

I know how you guys feel. This is the first German place in the area in 12-14 years. Glad its a good one. Not as photogenic as Ludwig's, but cheap rent , I think. Restaurant biz is very tough right now. Come and see us!
