Subject: brake bleeding for dipshits. Tip #27

After many hours of benchbleeding the new master cyl, instaling new rear cylinders, front calipers, stainless lines and new bearings. New shoes and rotors.

When you finally get to pressure bleeding and you start to wonder why there's no pressure at the rear cylinder. Just wait a few seconds until you hear PFFSFSTTTTSSSTTTTPPPFFFFFF coming from the front caliper and you'll quickly figure it out.
Who'da thunk that all three nipples on a new caliper would be loose....

It really sucks to see jets of brake juice and air shooting out of all three holes.

LOL
reminds me of when i changed my oil one day, and wondered why the dipstick didnt read full. looked down and saw a growing puddle of oil coming out from under the car. forgot the drainplug.
that's when my best friend started calling someone who does something like that "dipstick".

Are we all closet dipshits? or just curious?

I had a plug that I put into the end of the hose on my pressure bleeder to keep dirt and moisure out when not in use. Black plastic cap with a black rubber seal and my black rubber plug up inside. I loaned the bleeder to my neighbor- he said he couldn't get it to work. I tried it a few weeks later and not working. Only after taking the cap off did I see my plug. Doh! Dipshit.

Don't worry. I did that too. Except my leak was at the left front...and I noticed it when I was at the right rear.....

Same thing happened though....same reason too.

Sigh - someday we'll graduate from hack mechanics? Maybe?
