Subject: Sacto to Brisbane group drive update………

Looks like there should be 5-10 cars leaving Alhambra & J at 7am tomorrow for the caravan to Brisbane – should pick up Tom in Vacaville and maybe some folks from the east bay en route through the Concord / Walnut Creek area. Planned route is Business 80 out of downtown Sacramento to I-80, I-680, Hwy 24, Bay Bridge & 101 south.

Also should have an emergency backup for the return trip if anyone’s having mechanical problems – a local friend who’s building an M3 powered square-light is dropping off a car in the bay area tomorrow morning and is planning to stop in at the swap and show with his Dodge diesel pickup and car trailer. He’ll be “dead-heading” back to Sacramento, and has generously offered his truck and trailer if anyone needs to have a car transported back to the Sacramento area.

As promised, gas / coffee / food / banking services close to the Alhambra & J departure point are listed below.

Gas:
• Chevron: 30th & K (1.5 blocks south & west)
• 76: Alhambra & O (6 blocks south)
• Shell: 29th & H (4 blocks west & north – cross under the elevated freeway)
• Arco: 29th & J (2 blocks west – cross under the elevated freeway)

Coffee:
• Starbucks: Alhambra & J (inside Safeway)
• Peets: 36th & J (6 blocks east)
• Sargents: Alhambra & Granada Way (between L & K St’s – 1.5 blocks south)

Food:
• Lyons: 30th & J (1 block west – this is a “sit down” coffee-shop type restaurant)
• McDonalds: 30th & K (1.5 blocks south & west)
• Del Taco: Alhambra & K (1 block south)

Banks:
• Bank of America: Alhambra & K (1 block south)
• Wells Fargo: 30th & Capitol (3.5 blocks south & west)
• US Bank: Alhambra & J
