Subject: Soggy interior....how to strip out?

Carpets are wet (four days of rain) and I still have the mouse smell to work with. I am pulling up the carpet...no biggy.....pulling up the foam pads but now I see thin stiff panels on the floor, sound deadener I guess. Should I leave them in place, they look like moisture traps to rust out the floors, if I should remove them, what's the best way to do this? Also what appear to be fiberglass skins up agains the firewall, should I pull them out too or leave in place?

a lot of times they are moisture traps. you can use a heat gun or dry ice. search the archives for tons of info on this. if it were me id do it while you have the thing apart. not sure what fiberglass things youre talking about
