Lots of fun bits on this 1974 Craigslist special.

Not mine, no affiliation.

For the record I know a guy named Eric Kerman that builds engines.
He works in the same shop as Steve Donan and Pete Mc Hedry.

Looks like it was a tii. The drivers side inner fender has brackets for the air cleaner assembly.

Eric Kerman (correct name) does build engines out of ny. I think bill williams used him (as i'm sure others) for their engine builds. he's very well known for his magic on our little engines. He also advertises in the back of the roudel.

I'm buying this =)

I've been on bimmerforums since 2003. It'll be my 4th BMW, but my first 2002! I have an E36 and a E21 and used to have an E30. I'm excited about this 02, even though I'm selling the E21 to make room for it.

Eric (NY) built the engine on my 73 3.5 cs, very good work, quite the beast. Its a 7 series block matched to a six series head, 304 Schrick cam, three 40/40 weber side draught carbs.

Did anyone here ended up buying this? How was the rust issue? I think the price is decent.

Ya the window is kinda bad but worth repairing =)

also the transmission needs bushing/washers/etc to fix the most shifter play i've ever seen

other than that its quite a deal on a heavily modded 02
