Subject: blower motor parts

Where can i get brush holders---i have been going thru some spares and have good carbon brushes but melted holderswhich makes it hard to determine if they are doa--also where can i get friction fitting bushing that locks on the fan blade--i need a couple of those as well--- Thanks Brent

There have never been parts available for blower motors, so you have to do a little creative fabricating.

For brush holders, suggest you visit your local electric motor repair emporium; bet you can find something that works. If you do, please share with the forum. If not, you may have to make 'em from plastic.

For the fan hub, the fan is a press fit on the motor shaft. Early fans had metal hubs, later ones, plastic. What usually happens with the latter ones is the metal blades work loose from the hub. All I can suggest there is epoxy. If you have a loose metal hub, you can always drill and tap the hub for a set screw.
