Just in case anyone's interested.
Another excuse for a beverage or two this evening.

Les,

I'll hoist one in honor of St. George. We made two port calls to Portsmouth during the 4 years I was in the U.S. Navy, 1980-1984. I was on the aircraft carrier U.S.S. Dwight D. Eisenhower, CVN-69 and in 1981 and 1983, during N. Atlantic deployments, 3 day port calls to Portsmouth. Out of the all the ports we stopped in, be it the 3 month North Atlantic deployments or two 7 month Mediterranean deployments, England was among my favorite. Really enjoyed hitting the pubs there and even shared a few with some guys in the RAF.

Hi Tim,

I was at college in Portsmouth back in the 60s.
Portsmouth was famous, in those days, for having 365 pubs (one for every day of the year).

All the best,
Les
