YEP!

...unless, of course they're Fiat 124 wheels. (j/k but the Fiat units are similar.)

CMR = correct mfr.

Borrani. Used on early type Alpina cars.

I've always thought the Borranis were different - slightly deeper lip, and larger holes.....though they, too were an Alpina / Rally car favorite.

Anyone have another pic of Borranis?

Paul

The CMR is for Chromadora I believe. I have had several Alfas with similar wheels and the same makers mark. I also think that the Borranis are a little different in that the size and shape of the holes is different than the ones pictured. Borrani may be a model identifier? Borranis have a more triangulated hole if I remember correctly. I have a set at the house, I will get another look at them. I also am fairly certain they were standard equipment on early Alpina cars in the 13X6 configuration.
FWIW, I do not consider myself an expert or anything, this is just my understanding based on years of messing with these old cars.
Best Regards, "Z"

While we are on the subject of early Alpina equipment, I have a question about early Alpina steering wheels. It is my understanding that early Alpina cars were equipped with 14 inch BWA steering wheels. Anyone know if this is true?
Thanks, "Z"

I *think* early Alpina offerings were Momo 3 spoke critters. I'd LOVE to get my hands around one of them for my car.....willing to trade a factory BMW sport wheel of the same vintage (polished spokes, medium diameter, nearly perfect - 'cept I'm keeping the horn button 'cause it's an original carb/cam Alpina crest...not the later throttlebody/crankshaft).

Currently using a vintage dainty "Luisi" wheel thanks to Delia...love it, but really want an Alpina one someday.

A Momo before 1970? Not certain whether that is possible or not? That horn button sounds SWEET! I would like to see that!
Anyone else have any insight?
