Subject: oxygen sensor on Toyota Avalon

Guys,

anyone has a diagram or know where i can find one for the location for oxygen sensors on 1998 Toyota Avalon? My mom's car got the code Air/Fuel Sensor Heater Circuit. (Bank 1 Sensor 2)

Thanks,
steve k.

Time for a new O2 sensor, might as well get both, one is before the cat and one after i believe. once you get new ones you mileage should improve. 80-90 apiece. if you dont want to get them, try a bottle of Techron on the next fill up after the you clear the code.

There are three of them, at least. $80 a pop. I'd rather replace the busted one :)

thanks,

actually got it done already, found some nice info on ToyotaNation site.
P1155 means heater on o2 sensor is not working. Bank2. Sensor 1

On 6 cyl cars bank 1 is the one that include cyl 1. bank 2 is the other one. sensor one is before catalytic converter and sensor 2 is after. Good thing for me bank 2 is near the radiator so it was very easy to access it.

Non OE sensors are about $75 but require some rewiring. Not a big deal. All set. No more trouble codes.
