Just to be sure, I will ask here and general question section.
Since I now have the capability to do proper welding work (thanks to Santa and the red welder I got from him) I am looking for a piece of (hopefully preshaped) steel to replace the snorkle opening. I do not have access to any gutted '02s and I don't have the skill to shape one.
Would anyone have a section from one to try.

Another tip or trick is to find any 02 nose as scrap metal and cut out the matching piece from the bottom of the nose where the radiator opening is at.
It's a bit tricky but all you have to do is cut a piece out and then cut it down to the height you need. The curvature is already there for you and you don't have to mess with bending the metal, etc. to match. Just cut the height you need and weld in place.

That would be great, let me know time frame and cost, just enough to le me cut out the old piece and weld in another.

I asked and he said to do what was mentioned. He cut a piece out and the welded in a matching piece from a junk car. He said he wouldn't be interested in making pieces. sorry fellas.
