I'm the second owner of this outstanding 1974 2002 (mfg 3/74, vin 4225484). I purchased the car in 1977 from a BMW dealer in Danvers, MA and have owned it for most of its 34 years. The seats, door panels, headliner and sunroof liner are the original light off-white color; the carpet is original charcoal gray and is in excellent condition. Paint work and engine modifications were done professionally in the Boston area although it has spent most of it's time in LA, CA and now OH. It is still a rust free car, extremely enjoyable to drive and is quite fast when you're ready. It is not a daily driver for me now but had been for many years. It has always been garaged, as it is still now, but is taken out to be driven weekly on nice days. This 74 '02 has always proved to be very dependable and though I cannot offer a guarantee, I will mention that I would not hesitate to drive it any distance.
