Wow.. Some of it may not have understood, but the dist part clarified quite a bit of it.

Thanks for taking time to gather the info.

Hi Pat,

If you're going to build a FAQ article on this info, I recommend it contain ALL the 02 series distributor info. (I'm willing to help with that.)

If you do a search on the FAQ forum, you'll see I've responding for some time to dist questions like eaker02 is having, and others have had, and referencing the Bosch site files, and other source info, like the advance charts you've posted here, etc. I've got a whole folder on distributor info, OEM and replacement parts, points replacement options, advance curves, etc. that might be good to add in.

Let me know what you think.

Tom

yeah, sure go ahead my friend.

as long as the source of the info is absolutely right, like the one i gathered from the bosch web site and from owners manual reprint, go !!

dont post links as from time to time, they either stop to work or are no longer available...if you see what i mean...

Thanks, Pat.

Since this is a construction zone for the article, I'm not sure how it should work. Do you want me to just upload all the various things/files, then you'll (we'll?) sort it out and arrange it for the FAQ article creation and submittal?

I could also just email you my stuff, and you can choose what you'd like to use and post it. (I have ALL the Bosch Auto Trad files for every car in the 02 series already, BTW. I think I may have been the first one to post about that site when it appeared on the FAQ.)

From what I've seen, FAQ articles are kinda 'polished' writeups, some with tables of content and such.

I'm open as to what you'd like to do, since you took first initiative at thinking of creating the FAQ article. The one idea I'd offer is since this FAQ would be on just distributors, I was thinking of just transcribing the dist portion of the Bosch files into a single composite table/listing covering that info.

By strange circumstance my 76 2002 finds itself tonight minus a distributor and I would like some info with the deciding the best dist. to get. My 02 internals are stock,it has a Stahl header and Weber 38/38. I was running a tii mechanical adv.dist. What dist. part number should I search for?
Thanks,
John Hoffner
