Subject: cleaning small parts with a rock tumbler or eqivalent

Just wondering if anyone has had experience using any of these tumblers to clean some odd bolt,s washers, small brackets, etc. I noticed Eastwood now sells something similar that agitates. Given the volume, doing them all on the wire wheel doesn't seem effiecient, and neither would a sand blasting them in a cabinet. Anyone here have any suggestions? Might a machine shop help me? I forgot to call them today. And if I am going through all the trouble of cleaning these parts (all the unique hardware off of 2 2002's), do you think I should have them plated and if so how?

I use mine all the time with the green rust cutting triangle media from harbor freight. The harbor freight tumblers are also pretty decent for the price.

Check your local gun shop for the case cleaners, same thing, might be cheaper. Works great on screws and like items.

cheaper than the ones on ebay when you add shipping. and i could also pick up 5 lbs of the green triangle media.

I am excited to see how my hood brackets and roll bar end links come out. Im sure there are instructions, but what proportion media to parts. Should I make sure to add a bunch of the small washers and what not in every run?
