Me likes the top picture. Nevada is a relatively rare color.

I'm a bit confused on the later pictures. Are you flaring to fit wider wheels or just to create a wide look to the car? It looks like you aren't actually flaring at all in those pics but rather just adding some 'fat' above the existing wheel well arches.

Interesting project. Corvette lights are definitely creative...

What tranny/diff/turbo are you going to run on the m20? If im not happy with my m10 turbo I'll be doing the same. Have you sourced a 323i tranny or are you going to widen the tranny tunnel? I've been thinking about running a e23 7er lsd.

Those other pics you uploaded actually show the 'flaring'. It didn't look like it was coming out off the body at all on the first ones.

Nice work by the way. This looks like a fun project both for you and for us to watch :)

I honestly think that the amount of work you will have to do with that M20 turbo swap, you might be better off putting in some big V6 motor or, might I add, a small/light v8 motor. All this considering how heavily customized this car will look like.

a turbo or twin turbo m20 in an 02 will be a beast. That small block v8 02 makes only 400hp - a trin turbo straight six could rival that.

I think that would be hard to attain and use as a daily driver, as well as costly. Plus, it may be just as costly to run a v6-v8 motor, if not more. All I can say-unpractical.

Furthermore, a v6 keeps the weight distribution in proportion unlike a straight motor.

Cool metal work-and nice use of the inner wheelhousings!!

I love seeing projects "in the metal" it shows the truth of the whole thing.

on my site (www.bmw2002.co.uk) I like what you've done with the arches. Are they from something else of hand made?

Brent,

Very nice work, dude!

Did you fab your decklid spoiler and sideskirts in metal, too?

Did you do "anything special" with the gas cap/fuel fill area?

Awesome job. You have a gift, for sure.
