recently i've noticed that if i immediately return to a post to correct spelling, etc, it's showing the edit tag....you used to have enough time to make corrections before the stamp appeared

OK now i've edited it
Now I"m editing again. What I think happens is that it says 'edited by' or whatever if someone replies to your thread and then you submit the edit. This lets people know that they've responded to something that you've changed, so maybe they should read it again.

esty see now if I got back and edit this post again it will tag it, since the content that you replied to has changed.

thanks mr z...that could be what happen'd...someone was posting while i was editing...if i would just get it right the 1st time, it'd be moot, heh?
