When I read about the google coop program that was recently announced I thought about the FAQ and the possibility of creating a search engine that is dedicated to 2002 stuff.

Basically the google coop system lets you build your own web search collection by submitting URLs that you want it to include. It then uses the google search engine. You put the search on the faq web site some place and then it also displays google ads. The FAQ would get a little google adsense revenue

We could start with all the links in the FAQ links page and also let FAQ members submit new URLs to include in the thing.

What do you guys (Steve and Rob?) think?
I am not a software engineer, but would be willing to help out with editorial/collecting and submitting URLs.
