It would be more like:
"Aaaallllll y'alllllllllllll are doooouuuuuuccchhhee beeeegggsss"
I always set aside an extra 15 minutes for conversations with our southern friends. _________________

Todd, although technically I am not a Southerner (despite having been born and raised below the Mason-Dixon line), one could argue that the substantial period of time that I spent living in the charm of the beloved deep South, perhaps qualifies me to comment fairly on the manner in which a true Southerner would deliver the line in question. In that connection, I would tend to agree in general with your phonetic depiction of the additional syllables that likely would result from the application of certain Southern dialects. However, based on my personal observations, I believe that at least in some Southern locales, the more likely phraseology would include something to the effect of,
"Y'all are fixin' to be douche bags."
Which raises some interesting questions, of course, concerning the proper phraseology by the residents of different parts of this great land of ours. In Philadephia, for example, one could argue that the line would, could, or should be delivered more emphatically, e.g., "Hey, yo, you's guys are douche bags!" And what of my dear mother's home town of Bismark, North Dakota -- perhaps the resulting insult would sound something like, "Yahhh, you're a douche bag, ya' know?" Different places, different sounds -- New York, Boston/New England, Chicago and the Midwest, New Orleans (Cajun), Southern California, -- we could go on and on, and we haven't even touched upon the likely phraseology across both ponds, including down under ("Let's throw that douche bag on the bar-bee, mate"), or in Germany (which after all, is related directly to the reason why we are here) -- in which the line perhaps should be delivered in deference to the famous JFK speach, such that it results in something like, "Icn bin ein Douche Bag!"
Fascinating topic, indeed -- so many dialects, so little time. Anyway, GutenTag, Y'all :O)

You forgot our friends to the North :
"You all are douche bags, eh?"
Or to the South :
"Todos ustedes son unas bolsas de duchas " _________________ HarryPR

Excellent -- that's the spirit! Endless possibilities here --
Jamaica, -- "We be jammin, 'cause ya be a douche bag, mon . . ."
South of the Border -- "Douche Bags? We don't need no stinkin' Douche Bags!"
And this -- directly from my very good friend, who speaks the perfect Queen's English and hails from the land of King Arthur -- "Nobody in England would really understand, 'douche bag.' We might say instead, 'you're a bloody wet fanny, you randy bugger."
Finally, to tie into a prior thread --
Deadwood, Dakota Territory, as delivered by Al Swearengen: "You f*&?!ing douche f&%##ing bag!"
New Jersey, as delivered by Paulie Walnuts: "Ehhh -- I'd watch it, if I was you, my friend -- because I thought I told you, you was a douche bag!"
Fun stuff!

Esty -- I believe he was refering to our friends in the Great White North:
www.thecanadapage.org/Canadian_Myths.htm
Or, to quote directly from the website's author: "Some Canadians say "eh" a lot. Yes that is a given. Sometimes I say it myself. However I don't see what the big deal here is. I know a lot of Americans that say "y'all" with everything. Not every Canadian says "eh" either."
But, your version indeed, perfectly and accurately captures the Philadelphia spirit, eh? Good show!

That's an awesome picture. Still to this day, I have no idea how Zenon managed to snap a pic of me while I was mid-chew. I remember the day, as it was the same day my trans mount broke, and my fan ate my rad in the 02. Bummed me out a bunch. That pic was from a pub on the Fraser River, right beside the sea plane depot. My buddy Zenon is quite the photog!
Now, can't we get back to talking about douche bags again? Much more exciting than random posts from Esty.
So Esty, how does a woman(?) from Byhalia say douche bag? Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the Mississippi French word for it "LaCroix"?
