Looking good Eric.

Good to see that I am not the only one dropping $$$ on my '02. Wish I could do more of the work, but like you, my time is limited. Hope that I get an opportunity to see it in person someday.

The plan is for her to be shipped to Kermit for the engine on 1/23. We'll see how that works out. I just sent you an e-mail re. the parts I ordered. Thanks again for the help.

I went to CT to see the car last weekend and got some more pics. It is coming along nicely and should be going to Kermit soon. Below are some more pics of the risers in the trunk to fit the turbo tank, back seats, etc.

Nice work! Is that a turbo tank with the risers for the floor boards in the trunk?

Coming along well!

Yeah,
I bought the turbo tank from Germany and had it shipped over here. Difficult to find, but it raises capacity from 50 to 70 liters.

The folks at Sports Car Restoration finished up with the bodywork and the car has now moved to it's new temporary home at Kermit's in Vermont. Attached are some photos from right before it left their shop.

Nice Eric - are they the wheels you will stick with?

Tom,
I am still trying to make up my mind about the wheels. What do you think of them? I have a pair of staggered Alpina wheels that I am refinishing and will likely use them. The Team Dynamics wheels on the car are more functional and a perfect offset with the fender work that has been done, but they are not as period correct.

You chose some of the best to do your work.

I saw the car you won at EuroautoFest, what a hoot of a car.

Thanks Bill,
I just took the doors on that one apart last weekend to realign them and prevent them from hitting the body when they close. It has been a really fun car. People always come up and ask me where I got it and the story is fun to tell people. Your touring looks like an amazing labor of love and I hope to see it in person someday.

Eric

looks great eric. does eric have the motor done so its just a matter of doing the conversion? or does it still need to be built??
looks like mcginns did another outstanding job. if it were mine and its not, id run the alpinas but it looks awesome either way.

Thanks Blunt. Welcome back from Mex. Kermit has the engine and the block should have just come back from the machine shop so it has a fair bit of work to be done before it goes into the car. I was looking at A/C compressors and condensers and was trying to remember which ones you were using. Can you let me know what models and where you got them when you get a chance? I will probably use the Alpinas at first and keep the others for track days, etc.

Thanks,
Eric

im running the stock s14 compressor with a modified bracket to clear the sway bar. i will do some research and digging and get you the site where i bought my condensor. just know that you have to remove the horn brackets to get it in there. i bought the largest condensor possible. its a parallel flow unit and was about 100 lootcakes
EDIT
vintageair.com

go to their catalog and look at page 65.
i used the horizontal superflow condensor. i believe it was the 14x20" unit but i better go measure when i get back. it may have been 14x22

Thanks for the info. I also have the pics of your mounting of the condenser and stuff. That should be enough info for me to figure it out. As always, the info is much appreciated.
