Subject: Victorian 02 Drive! - Pics

Today was the day of the Victorian 02 drive in the Yarra Ranges. It was a great turnout with either 16, 17 or 18 (neither myself or todd can count :-P) cars showing up...

Apart from the inclement weather in the morning it was a great day. We started in Yarra Glenn for a coffee and a chat before heading to Glenburn Pub for lunch. We then moved along to a pine plantation where there was a photo opportunity for drivers before finishing at the St Andrews Pub for refreshments (in sunny weather!!!). For those of you who dont know, Melbourne is the city where you can get every season in a day....

Unfortunatly alot of my photos are a bit dodgey but Todd, Shaun and Timbo took lots of top shots which should be posted up soon! :-)

Id like to thank Todd for his photography work and Shaun for helping with settiing about the route as well as Doug and Graeme for doing much of the organising. And a big thanks to all those who came even in the bad weather!

Cheers,
Tom

Pics: Just a few to get the ball rolling ;-)

Whose the silly guy that parked in backwards... :-P

Some n00b gettin in the way :-P

Me too Tim, it is probably my favourite rd in the area however under those conditions it was a bit hard to fang it the whole way. We shall go up there on a dry day and go for a run when there is no fear of going off the edge! :-)

Here are the pics from the weekend...

Thanks to all the suspects for organising, I was soooo disappointed that I couldnt have my car there amongst all the other fine examples, from mild to slightly wild (I'm refering to the owners :-P) I had a great day, the weather couldnt dampen enthusiasm for such a fun little car!

I cant wait til the next run! I say Great Ocean Road!

Enjoy the pics... if you cant see them on this page, have a look at the pics HERE

Great pics!

I like the one of the Three Fjords around the bend. I've been on the Great Ocean Road, and from California I'd second the motion for the next drive location!

Very Cool!

You guys proved that the 02 fun is not limited to the States. Well done!

The speed limit around most of those roads is 100km/h and in the dry its alot of fun but we had to take it a little bit easier in the wet. I wont put down what the top speed was for the day :-P (well above 100, lol)

MarkB, how long has it been since you were down this way?

One of the many reasons I want so bad to live in Australia! Look at all those beauts! I can't wait until I get my car up and out!

P.S: 100 km/h is 62mph for us Yanks

haha good detective work ;-)

figured out what "oburt" is yet?

I think the guy u were talking about was David McAvoy... i think Todd has his email :-)

For the photos posted by myself and Todd, we hosted them on photobucket which automatically resizes them for you. It takes a little while to upload them on the site but once you do, its easy. You just copy the img. url thing that is under the pic onto your post.
