Subject: 1973 2002 Inka, I just listed it on eBay

I just listed my 73 inka:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=4619198573&ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT

Please read the entire description. It's not too much to ask. Under "Terms" I asked that no one with a feedback rating of less than 25 place a bid unless they contact me first. The first bidder had a 12 and the current bidder opened an account today. There are 6 days left in the auction, plenty of time to talk.

Looks super. I would be surprised if it was anything but scrumptious all around. I'd dump mine in favor of that one!!

What's your reserve?

Ah, gee, do I really have to reveal the reserve to everyone?

I've had 8 2002s starting with a "late" 71 Nevada I bought in 1978. I know these cars pretty well. I do all the work. I have receipts for all the parts I've installed in the past 12 months. I have a lot invested, not counting my time (If I had to pay me for the work, I couldn't afford it), but I don't expect to recoup everything.

You guys are knowledgeable, you know what good examples of roundies cost without me telling you.

MFB

keeping the 91 silver 318i with the M42.

Nah, you dont have to tell. It's just that for me personally, if the reserve is borderline on my ability to pay, I wont pay as much attention to it. If there is no or a low reserve, I may pay close attention and consider adding it to the new stable. In any event, all the best and good luck in your auction.

Subject: nooooo!!!!

you can't sell it, you just got it back together!!!!!

so what is the REAL reason you are selling it? what else has caught your eye?

and for those who are wondering, it is a very clean car and MFB knows his stuff. i've seen it in person and it is super duper.

that doesn't excuse your selling it though.

brad.

Brad, that ti I told you about is available. Contact me and I'll put you guys in touch.

I don't have anything in sight at the moment, other than painting the house, replacing the fence, replacing some siding, repaving the driveway, paying off the kid's college tuition, etc., etc.

If I happen to find a cheap runner than needs some TLC.............

i sold this car to MFB and it is the only car, boat, motorcycle, or any other toy that i have regretted selling

i understand that there are probably no rust-free unrestored 2002's, but this is the cleanest i have seen

the engine always pulled strong, even with the stock carb

if i had more discretionary cash around (colleges funds for the kids) i would keep bidding - but alas - 6k is more than i can handle (at least i think so)

nice car and she looks great MFB! thanks for keeping her an honest '02! hope you get what she's worth!
