Regretfully selling what was to be my "bury me in it" car., 1971 2002ti project, VIN # 1696447. According to McCartney, this was the second last ti built, with the last one on display at the BMW museum in Munich. This is, in effect, the last ti offered for sale to the public. Original delivery was to Saigon, Vietnam, believe it or not.
Offered for sale is the following project "Package"....
-Rebuilt 0 miles engine (.50 over) with solex PHH sidedraft carbs, all linkages fuel pump etc.,complete down to the original smaller 4-blade ti fan--Engine block # 1696447--matches body VIN
-ti aircan with rubber boots
-European headlight buckets
-Euro turn signals
-Ti grill badge
-ti brake booster (same as tii)
-Mint, uncracked European (chrome bottom),dash with clock hole
-ti clock with chrome bezel
-European bumpers with correct bumperettes and license lights
-Ti tail panel badge
-Ti instrument cluster (0-240 kms)
-2-tone (black with gray inserts) european only seats
-upper and lower column covers (upper has no VIN)--this is original
All of the above is in show condition....exeptional...with the exception of the rear bumper which has a dusting of rust on the underside of the centre section.
I think this is all the ti stuff, but I may have forgotten to list it...I DO have all the Ti specific pieces.
Unfortunately, the original body shell was damaged and rusted beyond reason, but I have the VIN plate, and inner fender section with the VIN #. This would make a "numbers matching" car.
I have a 1967 bodyshell (sunroof) from California that I planned to build the car around. It is a correct "Ti" body, as it has no sidemarker lights, and an extra low battery tray to accomodate the gargantuan air can. It is a good "honest" rolling shell with 90% original paint.
I am located in Canada, a couple hours from Buffalo NY.
Price for everything is 6500.00 or reasonable offer. Please do not waste my time (like the guy who offered me 10 bucks for the clock!!!!????).
I will answer any/all questions....just e-mail at esk2002ca@yahoo.com, I'll give you my phone # and we'll talk for hours. Serious, mature responses only please and thanks.

Out of curiosity, what color was the ti originally? Did it have a sunroof?

Everything for sale as a unit. I will not sell off individual pieces.....I will entertain the notion of selling the shell, and the ti stuff as 2 separate entities, but individual items are not for sale.
