Looks like the bodywork will be done soon.
Are you keeping it the same color? Can't recall if you said you would. _________________ HarryPR

Well yes certainly it would have but not as much fun. i have a disease. i want to know whats under each piece and know its treated or protected in some way. i know its irrational but like i explained in the beginning of this thread i dont really care. ebay is paying for this car and im going to build it better than new. i dont expect anyone to understand or even approve. i could be doing far worse things with this money. |
Oh, I know and could honestly careless what you do with your money...unless you want to give me some.
It is looking good thou.

My panels have been taken back like yours... the panel beater says he would prefer to do this than put all that faith in BMW being right. Your panel guy seems to know what he is doing!
What do you expect your car to owe you approximately by the end of this excercise? Sorry, dont mean to sound nosey, just interested...
Also, do you have two S14 motors?

do you mean how much will i have into it?? i really dont know but including the s14 swap and paint and bodywork im sure ill be at 20k. i am in the process of buying another s14 if it works out. im going to build a 2.5 once my car is done and have it ready to swap in when i get used to the 2.3 then sell the 2.3 or?????[/quote]
20K is still a good deal for the whole project, even if you are doing everything but the bodywork. My brother just broke his 2.5 in his M3. It's worth the extra $$!! Gives it a little more low end torque. _________________ Ray

i went over today and they havent done anything in 3 days. they got some collision work in and some stroke that works there is having his race car painted so mine sits a few more days. i brought over my exhaust tip today to mark the cut. right now it has the right side exit welded shut and i need to take an inch (or i should say he needs to) out of the rear pan to clear the tip i chose. its a simple round angle cut tip 3 inches. nothing too gawdy.
hopefully ill have more next week. im going to mark my antenna and do some extra body shutz before primer. _________________
