A couple of days ago, my view changed to the threaded view. No matter what I did with the radio button in the profile, I was unable to set it back to the flat view.

I ended up deleting the site cookie in my temporary internet files, and then restarted Internet Explorer. After I logged in again, the machine created a new cookie and all is well again.

My guess is that the various random issues some are having with threaded vs. flat view are caused by a corrupt site cookie.
