Mcmil is right, about 3 to 3.5lbs. I do use an inexpensive fuel pressure regulator on both of my cars, '76 '02 with dual 40s and a '76 530 with triple 40s. I do not use a return line on either car.

2.5-3.5. I don't notice a difference.

I use a regulator and no return line, which may explain why the pressure ramps up when the engine is shutdown. There seems to be a bunch of different suggested pressures depending on when the information was published, and who wrote it. I remember seeing an "old" "wrong" (around 2 lbs) pressure and a new pressure that was slightly higher.

I think it's as much the volume as the pressure. I run the Carter pump that is reccomended, and it works great!

It's a 4070 pump, and available for about $30 less at Summit Racing.

Here's the TEP link about fuel.

I use this pump and have had no problems with it.

without seat recession problems...

but I run a pair of Holley Blue pumps (not the best choice, admittedly)
with bypass Mallory regulators.
TEP is a bit over the top on the whole fuel pump thing- as long as you have STABLE pressure, our cars don't need a huge amount of volume, even at WOT for long periods

The Carter pumps seem to have identical delivery characteristics to the Holleys- and I'd run a bypass regulator on 'em, just 'cause.

Ditto. I use this pump, it's mounted in my trunk with a fpr. I am told an fpr is unnecessary....

Mounted mine in the front, where the battery used to be, I also run a Filterking filter/regulator, but the reg portion really isn't needed.
