No Kidding, especially when they reference a previous post where and they say they didn't get an answer.

But sometimes it is just that our logon has timed out(for us slow typists) and then it posts us as a guest. Or we plain forget if we have logged on or off.
I do good just to remember where I left this FAQ.

if you use firefox, you can protect the cookie...if you use IE, find the cookie and make it "read only"...in other words, don't delete the cookies for the joint

in all my born days, i've never had a forum just blank me out in the middle of a post....but that's a weakness of the forum, allowing guests to posts...by doing so, you aren't prompted to sign in when you try to post...and like you said....you may have your head up your ass at that moment and post as guest

"protect the cookie"...
Visions of the Simpsons episode where Santas' Little Helper (their dog) eats Homers prized macamadamyuh nut cookie.

Yeah, I think you nailed it with the head up the ass remark. After all, I did think it was kind of dark in here.

The guest poster can enter a name without registering, just checking to see if it works. (nice porn in here though....)

Frankly, I prefer to remain anonymous when replying to wingnuts, flag-wrappers, and lovers of this neo-fascist administration.

I fear from my freedoms and rights.......so, a guest, I remain.

While writing a reply to someone's post, I got distracted with some things pertaining to life in the real world and when I came back to finish the post it had timed out and the post went up as "guest" unbeknownst to me...

...I didn't think it was that big of a deal at first, but now that I know it caused my head to be rammed up my ass...I guess I'll pay closer attention from now on!!

(Recently I found this small growth on my knee that's a bit unusual, could that be related to some other board ettiquette faux pas? Spelling errors? Typos? Wise ass remarks?...)

Who cares....I don't...I could really care less if the name says guest or the name of the actual user typing the message. If the content of the message is good...that's all I care about. If it isn't, then I don't bother looking at the message again. This isn't the roadfly board....if you want rules go back and talk on that forum....
