Subject: Group roll cage purchase going foward, SF Area, details:

OK Folks,

It looks like we have critical mass for a group discount on a custom roll cage for 2002's. These will be a full race cage, not suitable if you want a rear seat or don't want to negotiate you butt over door bars.

The fabricator will be Tony Colicchio of TC Design (www.tcdesignfab.com). The racers and BMWCCA tech inspectors are uniform in their prase of Tony as making the strongest and lightest cages. His web site contains examples of full cages and a custom roll bar for a 2002.

The group buy will be for a fill cage, supports going through the rear firewall and connecting to the rear shock towers, support that follows the "A" pillars and connects across the firewall and "X" style door beams.

These will be built to SCCA "IT" specifications with 8 points of anchor.

You should count on pulling the interior yourself (I'm certain Tony would do this for you for an additional charge).

The price for a single cage is $1600, two done at the same time $1400, three or more $1200. Right now it looks like we have sufficient firm orders to get the cage at the 3+ price, that could (of course) change.

Conditions:
* All the cars need to be at his shop at the same time
* They need to be ready for the install (interior removed)
* Getting the car to/from Tony's is your responsibility
* Timing will be sometime early next year (let's say mid-late January to pick an arbitrary date).

So. . . if this sounds interesting, please drop me a note.

Cheers!

John N

Subject: Not likely, he has a very good reputation that he maintains

by controlling the quality of product with his name on it. There are bolt-in/weld-in kits from a number of manufacturs. You might try those.

Sorry,

John N
