Subject: Wrecked E30....looking for parts!

My son slid into the back of a Civic today in Akron, Ohio...damn black ice! He hadn't put the snows on yet...it's his "baby"....first car!...he's 27, and it wasn't perfect but darn sweet..Bret Anderson just did an engine swap for him last summer..it's an '86 325es...with an '89 325is motor.

Front end is toast! Looking for good sheet metal - hood, pass fender, nose, grills. headlight buckets, etc. Any leads?

Thanks,

John

And maybe a kidney grill, the rest was too rusty to keep.

I have all of that stuff off of my blue '85 325e that was hit in the side. It is just sitting in my basement waiting for someone to need it, so it is ready to go out. I have a hood and passenger fender in good condition with few rock chips (you'd probably repaint it the correct color anyway). I have grilles in good condition (could use a coat of black paint to freshen up) and headlight buckets with Hella H4s (minor pitting in the glass). I may have a kidney grille. I have a rear trunk lid with spoiler as well as a table of misc. parts off of it. I can ship or your son can pick them up. I am in Knoxville, TN (7 hrs. from Akron).

My email is:
tanner @ knology.net (no spaces of course)

I bought a '90 325is parts car last month that is hit in the driver's door. All of the front pieces on the car had recently been replaced with new parts (stickers still on them), so I'd be willing to ship smaller stuff if you're interested. Light buckets, grilles, condensor, fan, etc...
