Still up for sale is my "Pita". This sun-roofed car has spent its whole life registered in California. I know she needs some paint and I can not lie and say there is no rust, but there is only one problem area that is under the drivers side foot area near the accelerator pedal. I was rear ended a few years back and purchased a replacement panel, but have yet to install it. Shes having some charging system problems that I am working on getting fixed soon, might just be a bad rebuilt alternator. I installed a 90-amp alternator so there shouldn't be a lack of charging power once its up and running. She does run and has never let me down. She has been great to me the past 5 years and garaged all but 1 month I have owned her, not garaged in Sept of 2002. Since I drove her home, I have added 14 inch Panasport wheels, a big brake kit from Aardvarc racing, H&R springs, Bilstien HD shocks, front urethane suspension bushings, a 5 speed transmission, larger radiator conversion, a Weber 38/38 dgas carburetor, Bosch blue coil, 8mm Magnacore spark plug wires, Pertronics ignition, H4 type headlights, Italian turn signals, custom exhaust with a Magnaflow center resonator and Sebring muffler that exits the stock location on rear passenger side of car. I have also added a new interior carpet, a Momo shift knob and steering wheel, and Recaro front seats. Parts that I have, but have not installed are a 292 regrind camshaft, 3.64 LSD, a repaired front subframe and new motor mounts, and a tii exhaust manifold. I also have lots of additional extra parts like NOS rear taillight lenses, additional instrument clusters from various year 2002's. The important "tasteful" parts are there and this would be a great car to complete. Just the parts and labor costs by themselves are worth what I am willing to part with her for. I am asking $5000.00, but any reasonable offer will be considered.
I have put literally my blood, sweat and tears into this car and do not really want to sell it. I really want to see her go to someone that will continue the restoration. I need to start thinking about my financial future and the family I will be starting in the next few months. I have gone back and forth on keeping it, but I need to prepare to purchase a home within the next year or so.
