Subject: I actually got won a claim with ebay

I guess this is just another ebay rant.....

Out of hundreds of ebay transaction on ebay over the past few years, I finally got outright ripped off by a seller. The seller (in England) cashed my payment, did not send me the item and just kept saying it was in the mail. So I filed a claim under ebay's "Purchase Protection" claim system. I just got a message that ebay "found" in my favor. Great!

But.... I only got 42% of what I paid to the seller! What? Is this the way ebay works? No explanation as to how they arrived at a partial payment. I don't know if this is the way it works.

Also, I gave the seller a negative feedback. And he has the nerve to give me a retaliatory negative. And it really pi**ed me off when ebay refused to remove the sellers neg.

Lessons learned? NEVER deal with an ebayer who makes his feedback or bidders list "private." (The item cost was only $56, but it just goes to show you what can happen.) NEVER give an ebayer a justified negative to warn others.

Personally, I am sick and tired of ebay's policies and "don't give a crap" attitude. It's like they have created a breeding ground for scammers. I can't wait until they have a competitor I can switch to.

a $25 processing fee as it turns out. And I guess I didn't read the fine print - they don't refund shipping costs. Hardly worth my time making a claim in the first place.

I wonder what penalty the seller gets? And so what if they suspend his account? He can just turn around and open up a new one - no questions asked.

I got one of those too. Guy never returned ANY of my messages after a month. I left negative feedback and he returned the favor :(

I guess this means don't leave feedback until they have already left you feedback.

I sold an '87 325es on ebay.
The guy would not respond to emails nor respond to his phone messages.
I finally got an email from him:
Quote:
"Hey Still trying to get your money. I had money set aside for two cars on EBay and the I got a 2002 tax bill fro the great state of NC, had to pay that one. I am trying to sell another car of mine to pay you I hate to go out and get a loan but they may have to be done to satisfy my obligation."

So now I wait another month or so (giving him the benefit of the doubt) and I start trying to communicate with him again. Again...no replies for weeks.

I finally left neg. feedback on him saying he couldn't afford it and shouldn't have bid.

HE RETALIATED IN 3 MINUTES calling me a liar, saying I called him leaving threatening messages, and to "check" my "for sale" items closely.

To add insult to injury...he bought a Saab 2 days after our transaction closed and followed through with that purchase.

A couple of weeks ago I got an email with him asking for us to mutually withdraw our (-) feedbacks (seems he started SELLING items)...I tried, but 90 days had expired. Ebay told me I'd have to PAY for a service to accomplish this!!!!

I explained this to the guy an he replied with:

Now I wonder what could mean?... Eat Some A(?) D(?) MoFo???[/b]

Are you refering to MY post?
Go to :

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7198158199&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMESE%3AIT

His username is in that item description at the bottom. I have been deleting the long story of him now, but I can't delete it from this auction 'cause I have bids.

Flame away! I see that he is still a registered user,. (Although he hasn't been active since I filed my claim.) Gee, ebay can be so harsh... He's probably got a new ID and is scamming other buyers again.
