I'm asking $1200 for my white (I don't call it Alpine because it's not original) '71 roundie with fiberglass Schnitzer-style flares and a 'glass hood and trunk. Water-choke Weber, Stahl header, Recaros, Alpine CD player. The usual bits of rust, but a solid trunk and strut towers.
The engine is dead (I think). The wiring is weird. There's a small crack in the windshield. It's bumperless, and in one night of careless parking on the street, it picked up small dents in both the front and rear (stuff that could probably be taken care of with a body hammer, but I don't have one handy right now).
The engine may not be completely dead, but it won't start and I'm no longer in a position to deal with it. It was making noises like it was trying to jump out of the side of the engine bay, though, so if it's not dead now, think of that as a bonus. You also get a bunch of stuff (like an automotive fire extinguisher, floor jack, and jackstands) and parts (brake master, clutch disc, guibo, filters, gaskets, etc.) that I'll no longer need along with it.
I'm asking what I'm asking for two reasons. First, because that's what I'd need to cover the plane tickets I'm now going to have to purchase to do the holiday traveling and upcoming move I was planning to do in the car. Second, that's handily the least that the fiberglass parts alone would cost to buy new (yeah, they're not new, but you get a whole car along with them this way). Due to the first reason much more than the second, I'm pretty firm on that price.
I figured I'd offer it to this bunch of crazies first. I'd rather it either be or contribute to someone else's project.
Anyway, if you're interested, I'm in Tacoma. You'll need something to haul it off. Email me at
